Republican leader in the US Senate: there is no chance of passing a law to help Ukraine

Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell expressed doubts about the prospects for passing a bill on additional funding for Ukraine’s emergency needs.
The bill, which includes funding for border security and aid to Ukraine, has sparked division among Republicans after a compromise was reached in negotiations between Republicans, Democrats and the Biden administration.
McConnell noted at a press conference that most members of his party are not confident in the successful passage of this bill. The proposed funding is $118 billion, of which $60 billion is expected to be used to help Ukraine.
