In particular, the governor of the Vologda Oblast, Oleg Kuvshinnikov (United Russia), “strongly recommended” deputies and officials of the region “to refrain from traveling to foreign countries.” The governor of the Ulyanovsk region, Alexei Russkikh (KPRF), signed a decree according to which representatives of the authorities are “recommended to refrain” from foreign trips until further notice.

The head of the United Russia faction in the Tambov Regional Duma, Yuri Pluzhnikov, “in connection with the current military-political situation in the country and in the world,” recommended that party members refrain from traveling outside the country. The recommendation not to travel abroad exists in Mari El, Kommersant was told in the press service of the head of the republic. Similar tacit bans have been introduced in Chuvashia and North Ossetia, sources told Kommersant.
