RBC: taxi service InDrive transferred Russian business to a company in Kazakhstan

According to the publication, under the name Indels, the company plans to provide urban and international transportation services in Russia and the CIS countries. It follows from the SPARK data that the main Russian legal entity was transferred to Softforming LLC in August 2022. In early February of this year, the new owner of this company was the Indels legal entity registered in Kazakhstan, which belongs to the former operating director of InDrive in Russia Marina Arzhakova and three individuals.
According to RBC interlocutors, the decision to separate Russian and international business was made against the backdrop of sanctions. It is specified that InDrive has formally left Russia, although no official statements have been made in this regard. According to RBC sources, the company can do this at the end of spring.
Now the new Indels team consists of 200 people, it plans to develop a taxi service application. From the description of one of the vacancies on the Karyerist.ru platform, it follows that the Software Development Center plans to work under the Indels brand, which calls itself a start-up application of peer-to-peer transactions in Russia, accredited as an IT company .
The peer-to-peer model, which InDrive originally worked in Russia, implies the possibility for the passenger to independently negotiate the cost of the trip with the driver. InDrive was founded in Yakutsk by Arsen Tomsky in 2013. Subsequently, the company became international. According to InDrive’s own data, the company provides services in 700 cities in 47 countries. Its headquarters is located in California.
