RBC: Dmitry Kozak may become head of the Accounts Chamber

Deputy head of administration Dmitry Kozak is the main candidate for the post of head of the Accounts Chamber (CA). Consultations on candidates for this post are ongoing. This was reported RBC with reference to sources.
According to RBC, the Federation Council may consider candidates for the post of head of the joint venture next week. In turn, the Kremlin did not comment on this information. “We never announce,” Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov told RBC.
Ex-head of the joint venture Alexei Kudrin left post in November 2022, in December he began work in Yandex. By information RBC, Mr. Kudrin suggested Alexander Zhukov, Vice Speaker of the State Duma, for his post.
According to the amendments to the Russian Constitution, the Federation Council must submit candidates for the post of head of the joint venture to the President of Russia. January 17 in the Federation Council spokethat they do not yet have a definite candidate for this post.
Dmitry Kozak has been working as Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration (AP) since 2020. He oversees the work of the Presidential Administration in the direction of Ukraine, Abkhazia and South Ossetia. Prior to that, Mr. Kozak served as Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, overseeing issues related to the annexation of Crimea to Russia.
