Russian air defense forces shot down a Ukrainian missile on approach to the Belbek airfield, reported Governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev in his Telegram channel.
“Our military is repelling a missile attack. According to preliminary data, air defense forces shot down one missile in the area of the Belbek airfield. The work continues,” he wrote.
At about 21:00 Moscow time, Razvozhaev reported an air raid alert; after about an hour, the alarm was lifted.
On the operation of the algorithm for alerting residents of Sevastopol about an air attack, the governor reported earlier today. After the command, the Unified Duty Dispatch Service (EDDS) will begin warning through sirens and loudspeakers, and will also intercept broadcasts on federal television channels. In addition, information about the threat of an air strike will be published on the governor’s Telegram channel. Next, EDDS will distribute the alarm signal on regional TV channels. According to him, at the moment the signal is received, there is from 30 to 50 minutes to calmly carry out all security actions.
On September 22, Ukrainian troops launched a missile attack on Sevastopol. The Russian Armed Forces shot down five shells of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The historical headquarters building of the Black Sea Fleet was damaged. The military announced one dead soldier, but then clarified that he was still listed as missing.
