Governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev reported about the lifting of the air raid warning in the city, announced on the evening of October 22.

“Air raid all clear!” he wrote on his Telegram channel at 20:31 Moscow time.

At the same time, the governor called Ukrainian public reports about the “explosion” in Sevastopol a lie.

“Those who write that air defense systems were tested in Sevastopol are also a lie. The air defense forces were in combat readiness, but no air targets reached us today. This is a way for enemy channels to hype and keep the audience in suspense,” Razvozhaev explained.

There was also restored traffic on the Crimean Bridge. The alarm was declared at about 20:00 Moscow time, but it was not reported what this was connected with. For the first time, Razvozhaev announced the alarm at about 16:21 Moscow time, warning a little later that the smoke in the Sevastopol Bay area was a standard means of camouflage used by the Russian Armed Forces. Already at 16:38 the governor announced the end of the alarm.

After Ukrainian troops launched a missile attack on Sevastopol on September 22, the city developed an air attack warning algorithm. When the Unified Duty Dispatch Service (UDDS) begins warning through sirens and loudspeakers, and also intercepts broadcasts on federal television channels, information about the threat of an air strike is published on the governor’s Telegram channel. Next, EDDS will distribute the alarm signal on regional channels and radio stations.
