Electronic warfare forces (EW) suppressed another drone over the sea, Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev said. Prior to this, the head of the city and the Ministry of Defense reported on the attack of Ukrainian drones on the Crimea, which they managed to stop.
“Literally 15 minutes ago, over the sea in the outer roadstead, another drone was suppressed by electronic warfare, now our fleet continues to destroy it on the water,” wrote Razvozhaev in his Telegram channel, adding that the air situation is being monitored, all operational services are “ready”.
On the morning of July 16, the governor of Sevastopol reported that one UAV was shot down over the sea, five more were suppressed by electronic warfare forces, and two surface drones were destroyed in the outer roadstead. Later, Razvozhaev reported the destruction of another UAV in the area of Cape Manganari.
The Ministry of Defense later confirmed that two Ukrainian UAVs were destroyed by air defenses over the Black Sea at a great distance from the coastline, five more drones were suppressed by electronic warfare. The drones failed to reach their targets and crashed. In addition, in the northern part of the Black Sea, two unmanned boats of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were discovered and destroyed by fire from the standard armament of the water area protection boats. According to the defense department, the attack did not cause casualties or damage.
