Rasmussen proposed admitting Ukraine to NATO without new Russian territories

The Guardian newspaper reports that former NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen has put forward a proposal under which Ukraine could join the alliance without the territories that became part of Russia.
He explained that this would reduce the threat of conflict between NATO and Russia. At the same time, Rasmussen suggests that the conflict between Ukraine itself and Russia will not be frozen.
Rasmussen also put forward the theory that neutrality can no longer exist today, and gray zones are danger zones, so he suggested not postponing the issue of Ukraine joining NATO next year.
