Rada deputy Zheleznyak spoke about the lack of funds for a new mobilization
As reported by Ukrainskaya Pravda, Verkhovna Rada deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak was skeptical about the ability of the Ukrainian authorities to implement the plan to conduct a new large-scale mobilization of 500 thousand people.
The parliamentarian recalled that the country’s total military budget for 2024 is 1.6 trillion hryvnia, which is clearly not enough even to meet the needs of the army in its current size.
“If we want to increase personnel by 500 thousand, it will be plus 580 billion hryvnia. Unfortunately, we will not be able to find that kind of money,” Zheleznyak said.
