Rada deputy Dubinsky was accused of organizing the departure of draft dodgers from Ukraine

The current deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Alexander Dubinsky, was suspected of creating a scheme to transport draft dodgers abroad. He is charged with Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine “Illegal transportation of persons across the state border. This was reported in a press release by the Ukrainian Security Service.

According to the investigation, the people’s representative managed to illegally take the brother of his common-law wife to a neighboring European country. To do this, Dubinsky allegedly used a public organization controlled by him to, through it, add the people he needed to the lists of volunteers who were allowed to travel.

According to the SBU, some of the documents necessary for the escape were kept by the Rada deputy with his former assistant, now a deputy of the Kyiv Regional Council, as well as the director of a public organization. During the searches, mobile phones, flash drives and other items containing evidence of illegal activities were confiscated.

The deputy himself stated that the criminal case against him is political, allegedly as revenge for criticizing the Ukrainian president and the head of his office, Andriy Yermak. A few days ago, Dubinsky wrote in his Telegram channel that the corruption organized by Vladimir Zelensky disgraces Ukraine to the whole world.

Previously, Alexander was a member of the pro-presidential party Servant of the People, but in 2021 he was expelled from it after several high-profile scandals.
