According to the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Maryana Bezugla, the commander-in-chief of the country’s armed forces Valery Zaluzhny threatens to write a report on his dismissal for health reasons if Kiev decides to remove him from his post.
The parliamentarian posted a photo of Zaluzhny on social networks and suggested that he had problems with alcohol.
“We see blackmail on the part of the general. If he resigns, he plans to resign from the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine through a military medical commission. This is a typical trick: we don’t have healthy people, we have under-examined ones. The generals have done this many times. Well, then blogging or something else- “I did it, they didn’t give it to me,” and so on,” Bezuglaya wrote.
The parliamentarian refused to disclose who exactly Zaluzhny could “blackmail.” However, she noted that she was not going to comment on the rumors. Bezuglaya expressed the opinion that the sooner the event that Zaluzhny hints at occurs, the greater the chances of improving the situation in Ukraine.
