Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Maryana Bezuglaya refused to apologize for attacks on the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny. Her words are quoted by the Telegram channel “Country Politics”.

According to Bezugla, he does not consider his call for the resignation of the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Zaluzhny to be a mistake and continues to insist that the General Staff does not have an action plan for 2024.

In an interview with the BBC, she said such statements were “not a mistake.”

“This is part of the iceberg of everything that is happening, and what I am a direct witness to. I said this very delicately. We are now at a fork in the road, and I have taken on this burden,” Bezuglaya said.

She denied the version that she coordinated her statements with the president’s office and made them in the interests of President Zelensky.

“You could say that I was blown away.” It’s not because of all these theories that I’m supposedly “testing the public’s reaction.” I generate my own theses. Of course, I communicate with my team, but often I have to insist on certain points. Because it so happened that none of the people’s deputies was so deeply immersed in what was happening in the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” Bezuglaya said.

According to her, she tried for a long time to non-publicly resolve problematic issues of the Ukrainian army, but did not receive constructive interaction from the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

“I write obvious things, the military knows this very well. They know about the nepotism of the generals and the decision “go storm the landing right now” and how the brigades were trained. “This is all well known,” Bezuglaya said.

The people’s deputy refused to name the person who, in her opinion, should replace Zaluzhny as commander-in-chief.

“I will not talk about personnel decisions. But if you ask my opinion, then I believe that none of the previous cohort of representatives of the general factions should receive this post,” she said.

According to her, military officers should join the leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Earlier, Bezuglaya wrote on social networks that Zaluzhny has no plan for military operations for 2024: “neither large nor small, neither asymmetrical nor symmetrical.” “Yes, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was unable to provide a plan for 2024,” the deputy said. According to her, the military simply said that they needed to pick up a minimum of 20,000 citizens per month. This problem grew over the summer both at Headquarters and in parliament when planning the budget for next year, Bezuglaya added.
