Actor and co-chairman of Vladimir Putin’s campaign headquarters Vladimir Mashkov announced his readiness to submit the documents and signatures required for registration to the Central Election Commission next week. To register as a candidate, self-nominated candidates must submit from 300 thousand to 315 thousand signatures.
“We started collecting signatures on December 23 and in 26 days we collected 2.5 million signatures, even more… We are ready to submit all documents with all accompanying documents to the Central Election Commission in the near future, next week,” said Vladimir Mashkov (quote By “RIA News”).
Today Vladimir Putin for the first time visited his campaign headquarters, which is located in Moscow’s Gostiny Dvor. The President thanked the headquarters staff for collecting signatures. Separately, he singled out volunteers who worked in the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.
Co-chair of the headquarters Maryana Lysenko asked the head of state to hold a meeting at the end of January. Vladimir Putin’s parting words to trusted persons and their questions to him, according to her, will be important before the start of campaigning and travel to the regions.
The presidential elections will be held March 15–17. The Central Election Commission has already registered Leonid Slutsky (LDPR), Vladislav Davankov (New People), Nikolai Kharitonov (Communist Party of the Russian Federation) as candidates.
