Russian presidential candidate from the LDPR Leonid Slutsky said that head of state Vladimir Putin won the presidential election with a historic result.
“It’s possible, with a historical result,” Leonid Slutsky told RIA Novosti in response to the question whether the current president can be considered to have won the election.
Earlier victory of Vladimir Putin recognized other candidates are Vladislav Davankov (New People) and Nikolai Kharitonov (Communist Party of the Russian Federation).
Based on the results of processing 50.07% of the protocols, Vladimir Putin gains 87.34% of the votes, Nikolai Kharitonov – 4.11%, Vladislav Davankov – 4.01%, Leonid Slutsky – 3.11%, it follows from the CEC data. The overall turnout was 74.22% (data as of 18:00 Moscow time).
