Putin wished the Governor of the Amur Region Orlov success in the elections

Russian President Vladimir Putin wished to the governor of the Amur region Vasily Orlov success in the September elections, expressing the opinion that the inhabitants of the region will support him.

During a meeting via video link with the head of state, Orlov, reporting on the results of his work, asked Putin to approve his nomination for a second term.

“I consider your report objective… indeed, a lot has been done, I hope even more will be done. As in such cases, I always say, we must of course go to the people, the residents of the region, our results, talk about what is planned for the near future. It seems to me that they will support you, for my part I wish you success,” Putin replied.

Orlov during the meeting said that the GDP of the Amur Region in 2022 was 1.8 times higher than the results of 2018. The volume of attracted investments last year amounted, according to him, to a record 464 billion rubles, and in just five years – 1, 8 trillion rubles

Today the president is also spent working meeting by conference call with the Governor of the Novosibirsk Region Andrey Travnikov. The head of the region reported on the stable situation in the region’s economy and the growth of the manufacturing industry.

On May 11, Putin held a meeting with Tyumen Region Governor Alexander Moor, during which appreciated his work as satisfactory and wished good luck before the election. Vedomosti wrote that Moor is among the governors who can be re-elected in 2023.

In mid-April, Putin also met with the governor of the Pskov region, Mikhail Vedernikov. At the meeting, the head of state also wished good luck to the governor in the upcoming elections.

On a single voting day on September 10, elections of heads of constituent entities of the Russian Federation and deputies of local parliaments will be held in 20 regions of Russia. Elections of deputies of representative bodies of municipalities and administrative centers will also be held in 12 regions.
