Russian President Vladimir Putin will speak at a meeting of the Valdai Discussion Club in Sochi, reported journalist Pavel Zarubin.
“Participants of the Valdai Club will gather for their new meeting next week. Traditionally, they wait here for the president to hear his assessment of what is happening,” the journalist said on Telegram.
This year’s club meeting is planned from October 2 to October 5 in Sochi. The theme of the event, according to information on the website, will be “Fair multipolarity: how to ensure security and development for all.”
In addition, according to Zarubin, this week Putin will hold a new meeting of the board of trustees of the Talent and Success Foundation. A meeting with members of the Security Council is also planned. The Kremlin has not yet announced the president’s plans.
The last time Putin spoke at Valdai was on October 27, 2022. Then he statedthat Russia does not consider itself an enemy of the West and does not challenge its elites.
He clarified that the entire Western political course can be well described if we turn to the Harvard speech of the writer and Nobel Prize laureate Alexander Solzhenitsyn. As Putin noted, the writer said that the West is characterized by a “lasting blindness of superiority” that “supports the idea that all vast areas on our planet should develop and develop into the current Western systems.”
