“This option is not being considered,” Peskov answered a question from journalists about the possibility of Putin’s presence at the ceremony.
At the same time, the Kremlin representative also did not answer the question of who will represent Russia at the funeral of Elizabeth II. Peskov clarified that it is necessary to wait for the official protocol of the ceremony.
Elizabeth II passed away the day before in the Scottish castle of Balmoral, Buckingham Palace reported. The flag is flown at half mast over the palace. The UK has declared national mourning for 10 days. After the queen’s death, her 73-year-old son Charles, who took the name of Charles III, took the throne.
