Russian President Vladimir Putin will not attend the final meeting of the Russian government, his spokesman Dmitry Peskov said. Earlier, Mr. Putin attended the last Cabinet meetings.
“Putin is in contact with members of the government and with the prime minister so often now that he has the opportunity to sum up the results of the year so briefly and congratulate him on the New Year very often,” Dmitry Peskov said at a press call.
On December 26 and 27, St. Petersburg will host an informal summit of the heads of the CIS, attended by Vladimir Putin. In past years, Vladimir Putin traditionally attended the final meetings of the Cabinet of Ministers. At them, Mr. Putin summed up the work for the year and congratulated members of the government on the New Year.
