On September 1, Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold an open lesson “Talk about the important”, which will be attended by 30 schoolchildren, reported Kremlin press office.

“On September 1, Vladimir Putin, as part of the projects of the Russia – Land of Opportunity platform, will hold an open lesson “Talk about the Important,” which will be attended by 30 schoolchildren with outstanding academic achievements, winners of international competitions and competitions,” the announcement says.

In addition, Putin, together with the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, will start the construction of three Russian-language schools in Bishkek, Batken and Karakol via video link. The opening of new educational institutions in five regions of Russia is also on the agenda, the Kremlin added.

“Conversations about the Important” is a series of extracurricular activities devoted to “key aspects of human life in modern Russia.” Lessons are held weekly on Mondays. The first classes took place on September 5, 2022 throughout the country. In addition, each school week begins with the raising of the flag and the performance of the Russian anthem. According to the Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Sergey Kravtsov, 83% of parents support the holding of “Conversations about the important” in schools.

In mid-August, new Topics for the 2023-24 academic year were published. In particular, on September 4, a lesson dedicated to the Day of Knowledge will be held throughout Russia. Schoolchildren will be shown a video with an address by the writer, philosopher and TV presenter Yuri Vyazemsky.

On August 28, the Russian Ministry of Education announced that developed an exemplary plan of educational work for schools, lyceums, gymnasiums and colleges. The plan consists of a list of memorable and anniversaries related to the history, literature, science and art of Russia, as well as an additional list of events recommended as part of the calendar plan for educational work. It includes 67 events.
