Putin will discuss with the President of Kyrgyzstan on May 8 cooperation in the trade and economic sphere

On May 8, negotiations between the presidents of Russia and Kyrgyzstan, Vladimir Putin and Sadyr Zhaparov, will take place. During the meeting, the leaders will discuss trade and economic issues and strengthening the strategic partnership, informs Kremlin press office.

“On May 8, Vladimir Putin will hold talks in Moscow with the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Zhaparov, who will pay an official visit to Russia,” the message says.

The leaders plan to discuss the prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation in trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. Topical issues of the alliance of countries will also be raised, taking into account the chairmanship of the Russian Federation in 2023 in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), and Kyrgyzstan in the CIS.

Talks between Putin and Zhaparov earlier today announced Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov. The visit of the President of Kyrgyzstan to Russia on May 8 became known at the end of April. Zhaparov decided to also stay for the Victory Parade, clarified Peskov. Russia has not sent special invitations to foreign leaders this year, as the date is not round, he added.

Earlier today, the press service of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon informedthat during a telephone conversation on May 5, Putin invited the head of the republic to Moscow to celebrate Victory Day. Later in the press office clarifiedthat the President of Tajikistan has not yet decided to travel to Moscow on May 9.
