Putin visited the almost completely restored Crimean bridge

President Vladimir Putin visited the Crimean Bridge for the first time since the October 8 terrorist attack. He was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin: since October 8, he has been heading a government commission to restore this “critical civil infrastructure” facility. No one initially gave forecasts for the restoration of the bridge that connected the Crimea and the Taman Peninsula, for this, as Khusnullin noted, it is required to check the “physical load” and the strength of the supporting structures.
However, even then the approximate scale of the problem was clear: the bridge supports were not damaged, two spans of one of the two roadways in the direction from Taman to Crimea collapsed into the sea, and two more spans were partially destroyed. Taking into account the fact that the total length of the automobile bridge affected by the explosion in the first place is 17 km, and the length of the damaged four sections is about 260 m, about 0.8% of the bridge deck needed to be restored, Vedomosti wrote.
