Putin: Ukraine will soon have nothing but handouts

Russia’s neighbors will soon have nothing but handouts of money, weapons and ammunition, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting of the Defense Ministry.

“What I want to emphasize is that we, namely Russia, and there are few such countries in the world, I’m not talking about our neighbors, they will soon have nothing at all, everything will be only in the form of handouts and money, and weapons, and ammunition, handouts only. In Russia, everything is completely different, we have everything, ”Putin said in the context of the situation around Ukraine (quote according to RIA Novosti).

The head of state stressed that Russia has all the necessary opportunities to build up its potential.

On December 9, Putin during a video address to the participants of the meeting of the heads of defense departments of the SCO and CIS member states declaredthat Western countries have turned Ukraine into a colony and use the Ukrainian people as cannon fodder. The President emphasized that the West had for a long time “shamelessly pumped out and exploited the resources” of Ukraine, and also “encouraged genocide and terror in the Donbass.” According to him, Western countries use the people of this country “as a battering ram against Russia, continuing to supply Ukraine with weapons and ammunition.”

In November, at a meeting with historians and representatives of traditional religions of the Russian Federation, Putin declaredthat the West, since the collapse of the Union, has been interfering in the internal affairs of Ukraine, bringing the wick to the collapse of Russia. According to him, in the decades after the collapse of the USSR, “Ukraine went through the path of direct, overt interference by Western countries in its internal affairs,” and they tried to do the same with Russia. Then Putin noted that in Ukraine “it was possible to introduce” pseudo-values ​​into the minds of people and actually made “anti-Russia” out of the country.

Putin has repeatedly spoken about the involvement of Western countries in the aggravation of the situation in the world. Thus, during his speech at a meeting of the Valdai Discussion Club, President saidthat the West has recently taken a number of actions aimed at aggravating the situation in the world, including inciting the conflict in Ukraine and aggravating the situation around Taiwan. Then he stressed that the West does not have unity.
