Putin told who he is ready to hand over Russia to: the new elite

The President announced the launch of a personnel program for Northern Military District veterans

The special military operation in Ukraine has finally gained the status of a social elevator. During his address to the Federal Assembly on February 29, Vladimir Putin announced the launch of a special program “Time of Heroes.” This is a management school for those who have gone through the crucible of the Northern Military District or are currently at the front. The forge of the new elite will start working on March 1.

– I look at these courageous people and sometimes very young guys. The heart is filled with pride,” the president said. He clarified that he often meets with SVO participants. Therefore, he had a very specific impression of them.

“These people will certainly not retreat, will not let you down or betray them,” the head of state assured that part of the audience that may not come into contact with the military as often as Putin himself.

He explained: it is these people, veterans and participants in special operations, who should take the leading roles, by and large, everywhere. In education, in state companies. In other areas too. Putin is so confident in the military that he made a forecast for the distant future – clearly beyond the immediate “six-year plan”. Such people, he said, who care about Russia and live by its destiny, “can be trusted in the future, to hand over Russia.”

And why all? Because they are the complete opposite of the elites of the dashing 90s. Putin said directly: those who lined their pockets in those years are definitely not the elite. Another thing is the SVO fighters.

“They don’t boast about their successes, they don’t utter loud slogans and words, but at turning points these are the people who come to the fore,” the president emphasized.

The head of state said that the military should take leading roles: head regions, enterprises, and the largest domestic projects.

The new elite needs a new talent pool. She will appear literally any minute now. The “Time of Heroes” program starts on March 1. Northern Military District veterans and military personnel will be able to submit documents to participate in it on the first day of spring. Putin asked the Ministry of Defense to assist all interested soldiers and officers in submitting applications. The new program will begin in the coming months. In the future, it will be expanded on the basis of RANEPA, the president noted.

“The Time of Heroes” will essentially become the third forge of state top management. For several years now, the Leaders of Russia platform and the School of Governors training program for managers for the public sector have been operating in the country. Graduates of the latter, by the way, in different years were the current heads of the Kursk and Belgorod regions – Roman Starovoit and Vyacheslav Gladkov. And there are only about fifty governors. So, of course, we already have experience in training personnel for turning points.
