Putin to visit Minsk for the first time in three years

Russian President Vladimir Putin will pay a working visit to Belarus on December 19, where he is scheduled to hold talks with Alexander Lukashenko.
The Kremlin press service noted that the leaders of the two countries will discuss the prospects for the development of Russian-Belarusian relations, including the implementation of import substitution programs.
According to TASS, the presidents of the Russian Federation and Belarus regularly hold talks over the phone. For the last three years, the leaders have held personal meetings only on the territory of the Russian Federation. Putin will visit Belarus for the first time since June 2019.
