Russian President Vladimir Putin submitted to the Federation Council for approval the candidacies of the prosecutors of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, informed press office of the upper house.
“The Federation Council received a proposal from the President of the Russian Federation on candidates for the positions of prosecutors of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation,” the report says.
“In accordance with the regulations of the Federation Council, following consultations, the committees of the upper house will send a consolidated position on the candidates submitted by the President of the Russian Federation to the Chairman of the Federation Council to inform the head of state,” said Senator Andrey Klishas.
In early November, Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov signed orders on the formation of the prosecutor’s offices of the Donetsk and Luhansk people’s republics, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. This order provides for the formation of prosecutor’s offices of these regions, as well as the prosecutor’s offices of cities, districts and other territorial and specialized prosecutor’s offices equivalent to them.
On September 30, the President of the Russian Federation and the heads of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions signed agreements on the regions joining Russia. On October 4, the Federation Council, following the State Duma, ratified all the treaties, and the next day Putin signed federal laws on the admission of four new subjects to the Russian Federation. Martial law has been introduced in four regions since October 19.
