Putin spoke about the importance of connecting eastern gas pipelines

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the need to connect the Power of Siberia and Sakhalin – Khabarovsk – Vladivostok gas pipelines.

“Our plans are to connect the Power of Siberia and Sakhalin-Khabarovsk-Vladivostok gas pipelines, and then include them in the country’s unified gas supply system,” Putin said at a plenary session of the Eastern Economic Forum.

He added that such a solution will allow the gas transmission networks of the West and East of the Russian Federation to be integrated into one system. “This will allow us not only to work flexibly on global energy markets, but also to significantly expand the gasification program for Buryatia, Transbaikalia and other Far Eastern regions,” the president said.

During a speech at WEF Prosecutor General of Russia Igor Krasnov indicated for violation of the Ministry of Energy deadlines for connecting the Power of Siberia and Sakhalin – Khabarovsk – Vladivostok gas pipelines with the Unified Gas Supply System.
