Russia is reorienting its exports and imports to new markets amid an international trade crisis, President Vladimir Putin said at a forum of interregional cooperation with Kazakhstan.
“Particular attention is paid to the development of a joint transport and logistics infrastructure, the removal of restrictions that hinder trade and investment exchanges. This is especially true now, when international trade is in crisis,” the head of state said (quote according to TASS).
According to Putin, large-scale measures are being implemented in Russia to reorient export-import operations to new markets, as well as work is underway to equip and improve the efficiency of new main international corridors: East-West and North-South.
Speaking about trade between Russia and Kazakhstan, Putin recalled that 76 out of 89 Russian regions have already established trade and economic cooperation with the republic, and interregional contacts “continue to deepen.”
