Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday, at a meeting with industry representatives on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Russian civil aviation, admitted that he had repeatedly had cases of risky flights.
According to him, during one flight, a bird got into the engine of the aircraft and the engine stalled.
“I ask the commander: “What to do?” “Well, we will last.” I say: “Well, maybe it’s better to turn around?”, the president said.
Putin added that as a result, the plane was landed at an intermediate airfield.
The head of state stressed that decisions should always be made in favor of security. “If you’re not sure, don’t overtake,” Putin added.
