Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law that allows the use of digital financial assets (DFAs) in international payments. Document published on the portal of legal acts.

The DFA Law has been amended to allow the use of digital assets as a counter-representation under foreign trade agreements concluded between residents and non-residents. Similar amendments apply to utilitarian digital rights.

The Law “On Combating Money Laundering” has been clarified that the transfer of utilitarian digital rights, DFAs or hybrid DFAs requires mandatory control when executing international contracts. The Central Bank has the right to request information about the beneficial owners of assets, DFAs or operators for issuing DFAs.
