Russian President Vladimir Putin, by his decree, appointed Major General of the Internal Service Alexei Girichev as Deputy Director of the Federal Penitentiary Service. The decree was published on the official Internet portal legal information.
By the same decree, Aleksey Girichev was relieved of his former position – head of the Federal Penitentiary Service of the Russian Federation for the Vladimir Region.
Alexey Girichev in 1996 took up the position of junior inspector of the pre-trial detention center in the Irkutsk region. He was repeatedly promoted, including to the head of the Federal Penitentiary Service for the Voronezh Region. Since March 2020, he has headed the Directorate of the Federal Penitentiary Service for the Vladimir Region.
Alexey Girichev was awarded the medals “For Valor”, “For Diligence” II degree, “For Diligence in Service” I degree, as well as “For Contribution to the Development of the Russian Penitentiary System”.
