Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday at the plenary session of the Eastern Economic Forum (WEF) that Russia shares the demands of the people of Germany, dissatisfied with the sharp increase in energy prices.

“In Germany, we see that now there are demonstrations demanding the inclusion of Nord Stream 2,” the president said. – We share these requirements of consumers in Germany.

According to him, Russia is ready “to do it tomorrow.”

At the same time, he noted: “But we didn’t impose sanctions.”

The head of the Russian state recalled that the sanctions were imposed under pressure from Washington and stressed that this pressure is due to the fact that “the Americans themselves want to sell – at exorbitant prices.”

WEF takes place on Russky Island in Vladivostok. It will run until September 8th.
