Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia does not plan to stop the exchange of prisoners with Ukraine because of the downed Il-76.
“We will not stop exchanges. We need to take our guys,” Putin said during a meeting with his confidants. He said that the Ukrainian side is signaling its readiness to exchange prisoners.
How to deal with returned Ukrainian prisoners is a matter for Kyiv, the Russian President said.
