Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed providing subsidies to participants in the military operation in Ukraine and their relatives as part of the social gasification program. Also, according to him, the list of subsidy recipients may include disabled people of the first group and families raising disabled children.

According to the head of state, the Russian authorities are now subsidizing the costs of purchasing equipment and carrying out work on a land plot in the amount of up to 100 thousand rubles per household. As Vladimir Putin explained, about 52 thousand Russians with benefits (including those with many children and low-income people) took advantage of this opportunity.

“I propose to expand the list of citizens who can receive a subsidy for gas equipment and its installation, namely, to include in this list participants in a special military operation and members of their families, as well as disabled people of the first group and families raising disabled children,” said Mr. Putin during his speech at Russian Energy Week. The President added that as part of the gasification program, the Russian authorities want to ensure that “natural gas reaches every home – in a village, in a city – where a gas pipeline is laid.”

The social gasification program was to be completed by the end of 2022. In October last year, Vladimir Putin, in his Federal Address, announced the extension of the program and the expansion of the list of its participants. The program allows free gas supply to the borders of citizens’ land plots. This right can be exercised by owners of land located within the boundaries of gasified settlements.

Free gasification is available only to those plots where the houses are registered in the cadastral register and the owners have documents confirming their ownership. If there are no such documents, to participate in the program you will first need to register ownership.
