President Vladimir Putin, in a conversation with workers of the Uralvagonzavod in Nizhny Tagil, said that all enterprises of the military-industrial complex (DIC) will definitely be provided with orders. According to him, in the next five to ten years, the defense industry “needs to meet the needs of today and needs to restore all strategic reserves.”

“Therefore, there is more than enough work for the purely defense complex,” the president said, noting that we are talking not only about military equipment, but also about civilian products (quote from TASS).

Vladimir Putin also said that the volume of civilian equipment will increase. “Moreover, at defense industry enterprises it is not primitive; it is not just spoons, forks, plates. This is also high-tech equipment,” the president said, clarifying that there will also be “a lot of work” and “interesting orders” in the segment of civilian products.

On February 2, Vladimir Putin said that the plan for state defense orders and its volume for 2024 have been significantly increased and are fully funded. According to him, implementation is now almost 100%. On November 30, 2023, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu stated at a meeting of the board of the military department that in 2024 the volume of funding for state defense orders will increase by 1.5 times.
