Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered to increase production volumes of counter-battery and air defense systems, as well as to clarify the scope of the new state weapons program in connection with the special operation. The head of state announced this at a meeting of the military-industrial commission in Izhevsk.
The President explained that the systematic implementation of the state armaments program makes it possible to improve the technical and combat potential of all security forces. He also said that based on the results of eight months of 2023, defense industry organizations managed to maintain a stable pace of work and not only fulfill the delivery schedule, but also significantly increase the output of military products in certain areas.
“For example, the production volume of the main types of armored vehicles has more than doubled compared to last year, and the production of especially popular weapons has tripled,” Putin noted.
