Putin opposed the creation of a group under the president to work in the special operation zone

Russian President Vladimir Putin believes that it is not necessary to create some kind of separate working group under the presidential administration (AP) to work in the military special operation zone in Ukraine. At the same time, it is important to figure out how to collect and select information on the most promising technical means, he said in the closed part of the meeting with military correspondents held on June 13 in the Kremlin.

During the meeting, a fragment of which published All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (VGTRK) journalist Pavel Zarubin, military correspondents suggested creating a working group of representatives of the Presidential Administration to coordinate and systematize new ideas at the forefront.

“If you want to ruin the business, create a working group … To create some kind of group (under) the administration so that it constantly roams among the commanders – there are problems here. There should be unity of command in the army, you understand,” Putin replied.

At the same time, the head of state noted that the first deputy head of the Presidential Administration, Sergei Kiriyenko, “does not get out” of the special operation zone anyway, Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin and Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov also visit there.

The appearance of a working group on the front line, “and even directly from the president,” Putin considered it inappropriate, but he said it was necessary to establish systemic work, collect and select information on the most promising technical means.

“Please think about it, if you have any ideas, give them to me,” the president of the military correspondents asked.

On October 21, Putin signed a decree establishing a coordinating council under the government to meet the needs of the Russian Armed Forces. The Council, headed by Mikhail Mishustin, also included Deputy Prime Ministers Dmitry Grigorenko, Denis Manturov, Tatyana Golikova, Marat Khusnullin, Dmitry Chernyshenko, Director of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation Alexander Bortnikov, Head of the Federal Tax Service of Russia Daniil Yegorov, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and others. Already on October 25 took place first meeting of the new structure.

Two months later, on December 20, the president ordered the creation of a working group to ensure interaction between the authorities and organizations on issues of mobilization, social and legal protection of participants in the special operation. The group included deputies, senators, members of the Public Chamber and military correspondents. The Group is preparing proposals for improving the legal regulation in the area of ​​its activities and monitoring their implementation. A monthly report on the work of the group is provided to the president, it consists of open and closed parts, said Andrei Turchak, the first vice-speaker of the Federation Council, who led the group.
