Putin on Europe’s reaction to the explosions of “Sevpotok”: they are silent, as if it were necessary

Russian President Vladimir Putin, speaking to reporters, called the explosions on the Russian Nord Stream gas pipelines tragic events.
The Russian leader noted at the same time that in Europe the authorities pretend that nothing significant has happened.
“The Europeans, … as almost always happens, have shut their mouths, they are silent, as if it is the way it should be, despite the fact that this really undermines their interests at the root,” Putin added.
He also called impudence the version voiced in the EU that Russia itself blew up the gas pipelines.
“It’s hard to imagine that someone has thought of … such nonsense. Nevertheless, they come up with all sorts of such nonsense,” the President of the Russian Federation summed up.
