Russian leader Vladimir Putin on Tuesday, January 16, held a meeting with the heads of the foreign ministries of Russia and North Korea, Sergei Lavrov and Choi Song Hee. The press secretary of the head of state, Dmitry Peskov, spoke about this.
The Kremlin spokesman said that the foreign ministers told Putin about the agreements they were able to reach during previous negotiations.
Peskov did not provide any details, but it is known that Lavrov and Choi Song Hee discussed a number of topics on the international and bilateral agenda – in particular, the escalation of tension on the Korean Peninsula and the role of the United States in this process.
Earlier, the Russian leader’s press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, announced a meeting between Vladimir Putin and North Korean Foreign Minister Choi Song-hee, who heads the DPRK government delegation that arrived in Moscow.
At the same time, the North Korean diplomat expressed support for Russia in its special military operation in Ukraine, and Lavrov thanked his colleague for such a position.
