Russian President Vladimir Putin plans to meet with members of the eighth composition of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation at the site of the final forum “Community” on November 3, several interlocutors in the chamber told Vedomosti.

Putin’s meeting at the “Community” forum, which takes place in Moscow on November 2-3, was previously announced in the Public Chamber.

In April 2023, Putin signed a decree approving 40 members of the RF OP. Among the newcomers to the “presidential list” are deputy editor-in-chief of the Izvestia Information Center Nikita Anisimov, radio host Armen Gasparyan, violinist Pyotr Lundstrem, and president of the charitable foundation for supporting family, motherhood and childhood “Women for Life” Natalya Moskvitina. Science fiction writer Sergei Lukyanenko, author of the novels “Night Watch”, “Day Watch”, “Spectrum”, “Chistovik”, “Genome”, etc., also became a new member of the OP.

The RF OP was formed in 2005. It is a consultative and advisory body that ensures coordination of socially significant interests of citizens, public associations, NGOs, state authorities and local self-government of Russia. The previous composition of the chamber was formed in 2020.

The term of office of one composition is three years. According to the presidential quota, the chamber includes 40 people, 43 people from all-Russian public associations and one person from the public chambers of all regions. Thus, after the inclusion of new regions in Russia, it will now have 172 members.
