Russian President Vladimir Putin reacted with a joke to the situation with his aide Maxim Oreshkin, who was subjected to US sanctions. According to him, this is probably a punishment for meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
“He went to Turkey, met with Erdogan, he was immediately subject to sanctions,” Putin said at a press conference.
Earlier, Putin himself met in Samarkand with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan. He expressed readiness to increase deliveries to Turkey in all directions. At the talks, Putin also said that Turkey would pay for a quarter of gas supplies from Russia in rubles.
And also Russian President thanked Erdogan for his contributioncontributed by Turkey to the implementation of the agreements reached on the export of grain from Ukrainian ports.
