Russian President Vladimir Putin invited members of the Security Council to consider measures to improve the efficiency and safety of border crossing points, transmits Kremlin press office.

“Today we have an issue on the agenda that is directly related to both security and the economy. It sounds like this: about measures to increase the efficiency of the activities of state bodies in the field of arrangement and technical equipment of checkpoints across the state border of the Russian Federation,” the President noted.

After that, he gave the floor to the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Denis Manturov.

In early August, Putin signed a decree according to which one day of service of the military personnel of the FSB to protect the border of the Russian Federation with the DPR, LPR and Ukraine is equal to two.

The time of treatment due to wounds and injuries received on the same sections of the border is counted at the rate of one month of military service for two months. The decree comes into force from the date of signing and applies to legal relations that arose from February 24, 2022, the decree says.
