Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a telephone conversation, invited his Turkmen counterpart Serdar Berdimuhamedov to come to the celebration of Victory Day in Moscow. About it reported Russian-language newspaper of the government “Neutral Turkmenistan”.
“Presidents Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Vladimir Putin cordially congratulated each other on the approaching Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War, addressing the wishes of well-being and prosperity to the peoples of both countries,” the message says.
On May 5, Putin invited Tajik President Emomali Rahmon to the Victory Day celebrations. In the press service of Rahmon radio “Sputnik” reportedthat he has not yet decided whether he will come to the events in Moscow, but the president plans to participate in the celebration in Dushanbe.
The only foreign leader whose visit is planned to Russia on Victory Day is the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Zhaparov, Vedomosti wrote. In 2022, there was not a single foreign leader at the Victory Day parade, which took place 2.5 months after the outbreak of hostilities in Ukraine. The Kremlin explained that at that time it was decided not to invite guests, since the date of the celebration is not an anniversary.
On May 9, the Victory Parade will take place on Red Square in Moscow. Putin will take part in it and make a speech.
