Putin invited Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Russia

Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar conveyed greetings and a letter from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

As the head of the Indian Foreign Ministry said at negotiations with the Russian leader in the Kremlin, Modi in the letter outlined “thoughts regarding the state of our cooperation and the progress that has been achieved, including the last days.”

In response, Vladimir Putin emphasized that relations between the two countries are developing, “despite all the turbulence that is happening in the world.” The Russian leader also invited Narendra Modi to the Russian Federation.

Earlier, Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar said that “geopolitics and strategic convergence will always support India-Russia relations on a positive trajectory.”

Moscow and New Delhi have many promising areas for developing relations, for example, in the economy. In particular, the Republic of Yakutia is interested in cooperation with India in the field of diamond processingas well as in establishing a partnership with India for the implementation of oil and gas projects in the republic.
