Putin instructed to work out the idea of ​​a social mortgage for college teachers

A social mortgage for teachers of secondary vocational education (colleges, technical schools, etc.) would be important, but everything needs to be worked out, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the congress of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP).

“As for the possibility of providing social mortgages to teachers working in the field of training mid-level specialists. We have about 500,000 people working there in total – more than 500. And the average level of wages there, so to speak, is not the highest: somewhere around 47,000,000 on average. Therefore, of course, for this category of teachers, and we need qualified people here, social mortgage would be important,” said he (quoted by TASS)

Putin also added that such a mechanism would be important for the construction sector as well.

“But this, of course, everything needs to be worked out. This is due to budgetary constraints and the fact that the budget has been drawn up. But we need to see what can be done for the future,” the head of state said, instructing the government to work out this issue.

“This is very important – 40 [тыс.] or 500 [тыс.]. The money that needs to be allocated for these purposes depends on this. When we say only 40 [тыс.]and all the other 450 thousand seem to have nothing to do with this, problems may arise here, so it is imperative to deal with this, ”Putin noted in response.

Last August Dom.RF launched a mortgage program for employees of scientific organizations, as well as organizations of higher education. This program is aimed at residents of 13 science cities – a total of more than 1.1 million people. Special conditions apply to mortgages for housing under construction, which is issued at a rate of 6.6%, programs for finished housing (from 8%), refinancing (from 6.7%), mortgages for a finished house (from 10.1%) and loans for the construction of a residential building (from 7.9%).
