Putin instructed to consider the creation of a simplified checkpoint on the border with China

Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the government to work on the issue of creating a simplified checkpoint across the border with China near the Starotsurukhaituysky automobile checkpoint in Transbaikalia. In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers, together with regional authorities, should consider the construction of a road checkpoint across the Bolshoy Ussuriysky border in the Khabarovsk Territory. The President also instructed to include checkpoints in the Amur region in the list of checkpoints through which foreigners can enter with a single electronic visa.

In Russia, since August of this year, a service has been launched for issuing electronic visas for citizens of 55 countries to enter the Russian Federation through border checkpoints. You must attach a photograph and a scan of your passport page to your application. The visa gives the right to a single entry into Russia on a guest or business visit, as a tourist, as well as to participate in scientific, cultural, socio-political, economic, and sporting events. In June, the Russian government expanded the list of border points where foreign citizens will be able to use a single electronic visa.
