Putin increased the staffing of the central apparatus of the Ministry of Defense

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed decree on increasing the maximum number of employees of the central apparatus of the Ministry of Defense by 2,460 people. According to the document, the maximum strength of the defense department is now 13,200 people (excluding security and building maintenance personnel), including 4,930 federal civil servants.

The last time the President issued a decree on increasing the number of the central apparatus of the Ministry of Defense signed in February 2018. Then the staffing level of the department’s central apparatus was increased from 10,540 to 10,740 people.
