Putin increased the staffing level of the Investigative Committee – Kommersant

President Vladimir Putin signed decree on increasing the staffing level of the Investigative Committee of Russia by 514 people. According to the document, the staffing level of the Investigative Committee (except for military investigative agencies) is now 23,017 people.

“The staffing level of the TFR (except for the military investigative bodies of the TFR) is 23,017 units, including employees holding positions for which special ranks are awarded, in the amount of 20,734 people, federal civil servants – 270 people,” says the document. The same decree instructed the government to provide the Investigative Committee with funds from the federal budget to increase staffing levels.

The last time the President issued a decree on increasing the staff of the Investigative Committee signed in May 2023. Then the staffing level of the Investigative Committee was also increased by 514 people, to 22,503 people. Since last year, the staffing level of the Russian Armed Forces has also been increased. In accordance with the decree of Vladimir Putin, it was expanded by 137 thousand people, to 2.04 million (1.15 million are military personnel).
