Putin: ICR launched an investigation into the crash with Prigozhin’s plane

The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has launched a preliminary investigation into the crash of an aircraft belonging to the head of the Wagner private military company Yevgeny Prigozhin. This investigation will be carried out in full and brought to a close. This statement was made on Thursday, August 24, by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The head of state noted that the initial data indicate that employees of the Wagner group were on the plane that crashed in the Tver region — “these are people who have made a significant contribution to our common cause of fighting the neo-Nazi regime in Ukraine, we remember this, we know and we won’t forget.”
At the same time, the Russian leader noted that “we will see what the investigators will say in the near future.”
Meanwhile to the Tver morgue fit people with flowers – a spontaneous memorial was formed near the building on the territory of the city hospital. On the morning of August 24, the bodies of the dead who were on board the plane of Yevgeny Prigozhin were delivered to the mortuary of this medical institution.
According to some reports, the investigation is working out a version of the detonation of an explosive device planted in the landing gear compartment of a business jet, on board of which were the entire leadership of the Wagner PMC, headed by Yevgeny Prigozhin. Military expert Alexei Sukonkin concluded that the version with the chassis doesn’t sound so unbelievable.
