Russian President Vladimir Putin is holding a meeting with military commanders, his press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
“Journalists from the First, VGTRK, NTV, RT, Komsomolskaya Pravda TV channels, bloggers and authors of Telegram channels take part in it (the meeting),” he said (quote according to RIA Novosti).
The materials of the meeting will be published later, he added.
For the first time, Putin spoke with visiting correspondents and media representatives at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) last June. The meeting was held in a shortened format due to shifts in the schedule caused by DDoS attacks, Peskov said at the time.
Speaking at the Victory Parade on Red Square on May 9, Putin said that the future of Russian statehood depends on the participants in the special military operation in Ukraine. This winter, the head of state emphasized that Russia supports the participants in the special operation and understands their role and mission. At the end of December last year, Putin, during a speech at the Golden Star medal ceremony for the Heroes of Russia, said that every Russian fighter on the front line in the special operation zone is a hero for him personally and for all Russians.
