Putin expects Russia’s GDP to grow by 3.5% by the end of 2023 – Kommersant

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that by the end of 2023, Russian GDP growth is expected to be 3.5%. According to him, there is a significant increase in gross domestic product in other states of the Eurasian Economic Union.
“This year, all member countries of the association are experiencing stable economic growth. So, in Russia, in the first three quarters, GDP increased by 3%, and by the end of the year, 3.5% is expected,” the president said at a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in St. Petersburg (quoted from TASS).
Vladimir Putin noted that by the end of the year, GDP growth in Armenia will be more than 9%, in Kazakhstan – almost 5%. “In Armenia it is more than 9%. Yes? The way it is? A very good indicator. In Kazakhstan there are almost 5. Yes, Kasym-Jomart Kemelevich? Great! In Kyrgyzstan more than 4%. And in Belarus, as well as in Russia, 3.5%,” he said.
According to the forecast of the Bank of Russia, Russia’s GDP in 2023 will grow by more than 3%, significantly higher than the potential, which is a maximum of 1.5%. Head of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation Anton Siluanov predicted GDP growth at the end of the current year is at 3.5%.
